Hero Arts Video Tutorial :)

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!

From my Hero Arts Catalog Hop post on Friday, I got allot of requests for a tutorial on the Hero Arts Large Flower Background stamp. So since I haven't done a video in a long time, I thought I would make one. But I couldn't find my FLIP camera so I had to use my phone. So the videos are a little jumpy but if you have any questions about any of the instructions I give, just send me an email :)

Here is the card I designed that I am using for this video tutorial:

This stamp is the Hero Arts Large Flower Background stamp. It's a GORGEOUS stamp!

Here is a close up of the flowers:

And a straight on view:

Sorry the video is narrow, I took it on my iPhone.

Here is PART 1 of my video tutorial:

And here is PART 2:

I am also entering this in the current HERO ARTS contest - LOVE & HUGS & KISSES. And the Moxie Fab World Challenge - The Cutting and Trimming challenge.

Hope you enjoyed this video tutorial, sorry I get nervous when doing a video LOL.

CHA is getting SO close!! I hope to meet some of you there! I will be there Sun-Tues. If you're not going and would love updates from CHA, follow me on Twitter and Facebook, I will be doing lots and lots of FB & Tweeting. The links are on my sidebar ---->

If you have any questions about this tutorial, shoot me an email.
Have a wonderful weekend! :) :) :)

Moxie Fab Card Sets Challenge

Hi everyone!! Hope you had a great weekend!! :)
Just wanted to share with you a card set I did for the 350 Cards & Gifts Week: Moxie Fab Card Sets Challenge. A fun challenge and I couldn't wait to play.

Here is my card set:

My container for my cards, recycling a stamp set container from Papertrey Ink.

For my cards I used the Woodgrain Design Block from Hero Arts to create the tree cards. For the butterflies I used one of my favorite sets - Antique Engravings from Hero Arts. I colored the butterflies with Copics and finished it off with a sentiment from Friends set from Hero Arts. And for the container I used a die from Spellbinders, another sentiment from Say Hello by Hero Arts, more butterflies and the woodgrain design block and some Caribbean twine from The Twinery. All cardstock is from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for peekin' in and letting me share my project with you!
Hope you have a wonderful week!!

YNS Challenge #36 - Paper Piecing

Morning all!! :)

It's time for our next challenge - Paper Piecing!
My fellow DT member Simmone is the host for this challenge!

I love paper piecing so I really loved this challenge!

For this challenge I used YNS Rainy Day Fhiona - this is my favorite YNS stamp!! She's so fun to color, paper piece and I love her! I also used some other YNS images (raindrops, sentiment). And finished it off with some grass and cloud dies from MFT and some glossy accents. Fhiona was colored with Copic markers and the 'flicking' hair technique was used on her hair.

Hop on over to the YNS Challenge Blog and join us for your chance to win some YNS bucks!! And see all the other fabulous inspiration from the Design Team!!

And over in the Moxie Fab World they have a Stamping with Markers challenge and Stamp It Paper Piecing Challenge! Of which I have entered Fhiona in! ;) Love all the Moxie Fab Stamp It challenges this month!!! :)

Hope to see you join in the fun! :)
Have a great day friends!
Hugs,
Jenny

Ouch that HURT!

Just kidding... well I did prick myself a few times. I always do when I sew LOL. I wanted a break for the night from cards to make a little something I need and for another entry for the Moxie Fab World fun with fabric challenge. I made a few for my craft room for the pins I put on cards and LO's and for needles. So heres my little cushion all stuffed and fluffed:

Recipe:
Fabric: Cosmo Cricket (love their fabric)
Felt: PTI raspberry fizz and white
Other: PTI bloom dies, Needle, Thread

I love the line of fabric from Cosmo Cricket, I have lots of it. I cant wait to use it. This pin cushion is the same basic concept as my fabric flower tutorial but you are going to make the circle at least 5.5" round, you can go bigger too just keep in mind that whatever size your circle is your pincushion will be half that size and also you will stuff it as full as possible. And make sure to use a strong thread to make sure it doesnt break when you pull it closed. Instead of putting a button like on the flower you can add some fun felt cutouts to the top, go crazy with it. Here I used the PTI beautiful blooms flower dies for the top. Love it and its so handy having these around the craft room and you can whip these out in 10 minutes. :) :)

Dont forget ... the challenge closes on Friday at 11:59pm, so hurry and get your card or project in.

On another personal note, can I please ask for some prayers? My fiances Dad is very ill, hes not doing well at all. He refuses a hospital till he can get his affairs in order. He keeps thinking if he goes in he will never come back out. Hes in really bad shape and his health is heading down hill fast. So I ask could you please say a prayer for him (Jim) that God may put his healing hand on him and ease his pain. If for some reason I dont post this weekend till possibly Sunday that means we probably took him to the hospital. Im praying that he can hold on that long. Thank you kindly.

Many blessings to you! :) :)
