A Hard Decision - Wee Memories Challenge

Hi Everyone! Happy Wednesday! Hope you all are having a great week!

I have made a hard decision regarding the WEE MEMORIES CHALLENGE. Now that I am illustrating I am finding it so hard to keep up with the challenge each week.  It's become more of a job than fun for me and it takes allot of time away from my family.  After 2 GREAT years its time for it to come to an end.

This economy has made it really hard to get new sponsors and keep the regular sponsors as well.  Everyone is doing budget cuts in these tough economic times. Plus the added cost of mailing prizes keeps going up and international postage costs are very expensive for me because I pay them out of my own money.

I just feel like the challenge has run its course after 2 years. I am having such a hard time keeping up especially because I work full time, have a family and illustrate now plus my design team commitments. I also can never submit to magazines cause I dont ever have time and I would really like to start doing that too. 2012  brings new goals for me and letting go of Wee Memories was the toughest ever!

January 28th will be our final challenge as we say goodbye. Please know this wasn't easy for me at all, but I must think of my health and my family. I prayed and thought about this long and hard and talked to some friends about it too and I just think it is whats best. I really need to focus on my health as well, with the Anemia and my back issues, I really want to get myself healthy again.I really really HOPE you all understand the need for my decision.

And I want to say a BIG, HUGE THANK YOU to my Design Team for their amazing creations and hard work each week. They are an AMAZING group of ladies!! :) :) And I love each of you!!

I WILL STILL BE DOING LOTS OF GIVEAWAYS from my sponsors and my stamps still so I hope you will continue to follow me and stick around for the AMAZING things coming SOON!

Thank you all for your support of Wee Memories and making it such a great challenge! My girls and I will miss it so much! But I am looking forward to a great future with my Blog!!

HUGS and LOVE to you all!!
Thank you for understanding and your support!

You really did have a hard decision to make, but as you said health & family are a top priority. I didn't participate in all the challenges but have enjoyed jumping in when I can! I look forward to seeing your new illustrations, and wish you all the best! HUGS!

How in the world have you done if for so long, working full time, with a family, etc? Suuuuper Womannnnn! Yikes. Anyway, I totally support your decision, and hope that your sciatica goes away completely. I think of you when my sciatica gets worse. Enjoy your added hours in each day, and I look forward to still seeing you on the web.... Sharon Gullikson

Totally understand, you must do what is best for you and the time limitations that we all have! Good for you, we always fear our choices we make in life, but I think in our hearts it is the best! I would love to see your work in print too, so I do hope this will give you time to submit, yay! Hugs!

I totally understand you - you are doing the right thing - prioritizing the most important thing - your family.
BUT I will miss the challenges VERY much and all the GREAT inspiration from you and your wonderful design team.
