Watercoloring cards

Happy Hump Day all!! Hope your having a wonderful day!
Been a crazy week for me at work and home.

Wanted to share with you some projects I did this week.
I stepped out of my comfort zone to do some water color cards.

Tiff inspired me when I saw her watercolor card with gelatos.
I have always wanted to do this technique just haven't.
For my cards I used water and distress inks.

My first card I used the beautiful Large Flower Pattern from Hero Arts. This stamp is gorgeous, I have been meaning to ink it up for awhile now. Other stamps used: Old Letter, Thinking of You, and Antique Engravings from Hero Arts. I used my TH Distress Inks and the mini mister from Ranger. Jennifer McGuire has a wonderful video on her blog to show you how to do this technique HERE.

Here is another card I did using the same technique. This stamp is Hero Arts Silhouette Meadow Flowers. I did this one for the current Hero Arts contest - Birthdays and Envelopes. And I used some Lilac twine from  The Twinery to finish the look. I wish I had a script birthday sentiment but I didn't so I just used one I had.

This is such a fun technique and so easy! You should give it a try!
If you still don't understand the technique after watching Jennifer McGuire's video about it HERE, let me know and I will do a step-by-step tutorial. :) You can also check out Tiff's video using this technique with Gelatos HERE.

Notice anything over here on Lilypad Blog? You might see some eyes looking at you ;)

PS: I updated Wee-Designs with some new signatures. Come by and see!

PSS: I will move the 'For Sale' page to its own link that will be on the sidebar so you can check it for updates.

Thanks for peekin' in!
Have a great day!
:) :) :) Jenny

LOVE your results, Jenny - a question, did you heat emboss the first stamping before you used the distress inks to watercolor in?

Love your cards Jenny! I am going to check out Jennifer's video to see if I can get more info on this technique. This looks different than most of the wc techniques that I have seen. Very special!

Jenny, your cards are beautiful! I did watch Jenifer McGuire's video, and she explains a watercolor technique very clearly. However, your cards have a completely different look....almost like you're looking at them underwater. I would LOVE for you to do a tutorial on how to accomplish your look. It would be AWESOME!!
