Updates! News! Happenings! and more!

Hi friends! :) Oh what a busy, busy time this month! Eek!
Tax time for me at work plus all the crafty stuff going on ... I need 2 of me!

Everything got crazy this weekend and I just finished this ... but this is the project I was going to post with the challenge ...  My cute little owl mascot - Tootie's friend Hootie! Im having another sweet lady make me a Tootie, her Etsy shop is HERE, she has the most adorable shop!

So I did it step by step ...

First I cut out 2 pieces of black felt and 1 piece of white using Hooties template which I printed out using my drawing of Tootie but resizing it for my needs. I stitched the white felt and one piece of black felt together using the Blanket Stitch.

Then I cut out my face items and feet.

Then hot glued his face and feet on. Hot glue holds so much better than liquid glue.

Then I sewed on the 2nd piece of black felt Hootie, using a reg stitch but leaving a little opening to stuff him.

Then stuff him and close it up!

And then presto! You have yourself a cute little Owl! Isn't he adorable?
And its a fun project to do with your kid(s) ... my daughter is making one!

.....

I also wanted to share some pictures from CHA! It was so much fun!! Seeing all the booths and the best part was meeting everyone!! I got to meet my dear friends - Kelly MarieTiffany Guam, Nancy, Terri, Ashley Nguyen Newell, Courtney Lee, Lori Craig (SCS), Angela Magnuson, Nikki Sivils, Lisa Spangler, Jennifer McGuire, Sally Traidman, and the list could go on and on!!

Sweet Tiffany!

Lori Craig and Jami of SCS, Karen and me!

And I have more booth photos to show ... but in another post soon! :)
I had a BLAST at CHA!! I cant wait for next year! Your Next Stamp is growing by leaps and bounds and I cant wait to see it all happen for Karen and her hubby. They are the sweetest!! I had so much fun with them and I love Karen's Dad, hes a crack up!!! Him and my hubby got along smashing!

.....

And im finally getting my groove back! Mojo baby!
So I have a couple of cards to share!

I have done lots more cards, but they are for the current Papercrafts Magazine Stamp It call which I cant show ... bummer! :(

Ooh how I ADORE this cute little Fox stamp from Hero Arts! And the grass die from My Fav Things. I used the leaf stitch on my sewing machine, love it. I also swirled the ink pad around on the cloud stamp to give it a nice sky effect. Then finished it off with this cute sentiment! This is also for the Hero Arts current contest - Love & Friendship! Be sure to play along!

I also did this one for the contest:

Here I used the cute Wish You Were Here set from Hero Arts. I stitched a felt pillow to give a little more dimension to the card. And I added some pearls to give it some elegance. Love it!

.....

Busy time for me at work, so I gotta run and get back to it but ill be back later with more updates, news and stuff!!

Hugs,
Jenny

That owl is too cute! You look like you had a great time at CHA, and the cards you shared look great! My sewing machine is too ancient to have something as fancy as a leaf stitch... :D
