Hi all...
Just thought I would share this super easy and fun project I did!
Instead of stitching my mobile ... I used twine from no other than The Twinery!!

So simple to do... I wish it hung in this picture as cute as it really is but it didnt cooperate lol.
So I will share with you how I did it.
Select your colors of cardstock and your background stamp you want to use. You can of course use patterned paper too. I chose stamps. Once you have stamped your background onto the cardstock, just punch out your hearts. Do this for every color you want to use in 4's.
Next, score them all in the center. I like to score them instead of bending them because you don't get the bad creases in the cardstock. After scoring add your tape to the backs of each heart.
Adhere 3 of them together and leave off the 4th one. Add your choice of twine in the middle then adhere the 4th heart.
Now you have your complete heart attached to your twine. Do that for each heart and leave space in between each one.
The space in between the hearts, add a bow of twine with the color that matches your cardstock. I found Papertrey Ink paper and The Twinery twine colors match very well.
They should look like this for each one.
I used 9 of the 11 colors of twine from The Twinery: Maraschino, Lemondrop, Peapod, Caribbean, Lilac, Pink Sorbet, Honeydew, Blossom and Charcoal.
For the top of the mobile, just wrap some twine of your color choice around a dowel. Tie a piece of twine to both ends to give you your hanger.
Tie some bows at the top and you have your hanger.
Its so bright, cheerful and colorful in my office. You can do this with any shapes and the whole project takes less than an hour. What a great handmade gift for anyone!! You can also make it longer with more rows of heart strung twine or you can get an embroidery loop and make it round... anyway you want to do it! I plan on doing more of these and will share them with you!!
And I want to share my super handy twine rack my husband did for me. He just used some spare wood we had laying around. Thanks to my fellow DT member for this great idea.
Isnt it great? I LOVE IT!! Makes it easy to have my twine handy whenever I need it!
Thanks for joining me today and letting me share my project with you!!
Be sure to check out The Twinery and get yourself some of their yummy twine! They have 3 new colors that your are going to love!!
Hope you enjoyed my little project.
Have a great day!
