With Heartfelt Condolences - DRS Designs

Happy Saturday!! Hope you are enjoying the start to your weekend!! We had a lovely day yesterday, sad but lovely as we have come to terms with the loss of my FIL. His condition has deteriorated as we expected and he will pass soon. We appreciate all your prayers during this difficult time. But we tried to make the best of our trip to see him and went and drove around LA and then had a lovely dinner at Buca di Beppo Italian restaurant, if you have never ate at one... omgoodness you dont know what your missing. And we highly recommend the Tiramisu... YUMMMMY! It was just a nice and peaceful family day ... it was lovely to see my FIL and get to hug him and tell him how much we love him.

With that said I would love to share with you a card I made, it was hard to make this card but I think it came out lovely. I made it then I thought it just needed something else. Tell me which version you like.

Version one - without branches

Version two - with branches on the background

Card Recipe:
Paper: PTI kraft, new leaf, vellum
Ink: Versamark
Other: Bo Bunny rhinestones, MS border punch

And today is RELEASE DAY at DRS Designs!!
Be sure to check out all the new stamps HERE - I included two of them in my card above (Lily Sympathy Cross and Heartfelt Condolences)

Be sure to check out my full post on the blog HERE.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Blessings to you,

Jenny, fabulous card...I think the second one...I like the branches in the background. Continue to pray for your FIL that he has peace soon. and praying for your family that your memories provide you comfort now and always.

I'm so sorry that you are going through such a hard time. I like the second one, but would possibly like it with just one larger branch in the upper right hand corner - like the butterfly is flying toward it. Love your cards and I don't even make cards. You are so talented!

I am glad you had a great visit with your FIL it's not an easy time right now and seeing the best helps. I like this sympathy card, I like both versions. I think sometimes in sympathy a clean design works well but the extra stamping does make it stand out more. Although in the first version my eye is drawn more to the cross. Doesn't matter both are gorgeous!

I am so sorry to hear that Jenny! Atleast you have had warning so that you and Jason can say your goodbyes, that is priceless so you can atleast be thankful in that in such a hard time! HUGS!

So sorry about what you are going through, but I am happy that you had the opportunity to tell him how you feel about him. Love the simplicity of the first card but it is beautiful either way. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
